Autoresponders are an effective and powerful marketing tool, allowing you to make contact with thousands of potential (and existing customers). This is an invaluable asset considering how many potential customers you usually have contact with, before you make an actual sale. Essentially, an autoresponser allows you to automate part of your marketing campaign. Your e-mail client is not meant for sending mass e-mails. A contact management software is meant to “manage” your contacts. You can only send out a an e-mail to a max of approximately 15 e-mails recipients through your e-mail client before some e-mail providers will bounce your e-mail back (due to number of recipients). Therefore resutling in extra work, to send out separate e-mails to everyone. When and individual “opts in” to your e-mail campaigns or broadcasts are gaurenteed to get through to them. I use Get Response. There are several auto responders out there, this is basically a personal preference for each.

AWeber: proven to have the highest delivery rate. This is a tool that will help leverage your time and efforts in a more effective and efficient manor. GetResponse: another autoresponder. E-mail responses, campaigns, follow-ups, broadcasts. The monthly cost for the minimum service is $17.95 per month. Pay yearly and save $70. Contact Management Software – I use ACT 6.0 (2004 version). I find this works very nicely for what I need. The newer versions have more bells and whistles. The 6.0 version works perfectly for most individuals. If your budget does not allow for this yet, you may use Outlook or Outlook Express in the mean time and later you can interface the two programs. Purchase discounted qualified leads – Until you have mastered your own specific traffic generation – a good lead source is hard to come by.
